Job Overview:
The Junior IT System Administrator supports the IT infrastructure of the organization. This role involves assisting in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of systems and networks to ensure smooth operation and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and patches under supervision.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights under guidance.
  • Deploy configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure including telephone IPPBX systems and Aruba wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in resolving them.
  • Monitor network performance and assist in optimizing network configurations.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve technical problems under supervision.
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Attend the daily basis calls and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Manage and handle entire procurement process.
  • Assist in generating reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in implementing security measures and access controls to protect IT systems and data.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Participate in security awareness training and promote a culture of security within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent Diploma with work experience.
  • Some experience in a technical support or IT administration role is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and environments.
  • Preferred certifications like CCNA,MCSE ,ITIL  are a plus.
